The public is hereby advised that the Philippine Embassy in Berne has started processing passport applications with ten (10) year-validity for applicants 18 years old and above.

In line with this, ALL applications, both new and renewal, will be required to submit Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-authenticated birth and marriage certificates.

PSA-authenticated birth certificate will be particularly required for:

1. Holders of non-ePassport booklets;
2. Minor applicants;
3. Lost passport applications;
4. Replacement of Mutilated/damaged passports; and
5. Passports requiring data correction.

Effective immediately, the Embassy will only accept and process passport applications which have complied with said requirement.
