The Philippine Embassy in Berne, Switzerland requests for quotation for the project "Renovation Projects of the Chancery: Repair of Four (4) Balconies and Retiling of the First Floor ".

Interested companies should comply with the attached Terms of Reference (TOR) of the project.

Interested supplies may obtain further information from the Administrative Officer and BAC Secretariat, Ms. Agnes H. Tuazon at 031-350-1715 or Mr. Abner Sto. Domingo, Acting Property Officer at 031-350 1717.

Offers must be delivered to and received by the Administration by 27 December 2019. Offers shall be considered on the same day by the Committee. The Companies shall thereafter be informed of the decision of the Committee.

This RFQ supersedes RFQ-18-2019 dated 13 December 2019.

ANNEX A

Technical Specification

Renovation of the Embassy's four (4) balconies

and retiling of the main floor (first level) of the Embassy Chancery

 

 

I.

Background:

The Philippine Embassy intends to avail of the services of a Swiss reputable company based in Berne to work on the renovation of the Embassy's four (4) balconies and retiling of the ground floor of the Embassy Chancery.  

II.

Objective:

To hire the services of a reputable Swiss construction company or builder

III

Scope of Work:

The Contractor shall undertake the following:

Statement of Compliance

A.  Renovation of four (4) balconies

Dismantle/Remove old and weakened structural components of the balconies

Repair cracks on the floorings, including repair of balconies' portions plastered with sandstone.

Repaint the balconies, including the steel barriers 

Removal of debris from the construction site

B.  Retiling of the main floor (Ground Floor)

Removal of existing tiles from all the rooms, hallways  at the ground floor

Reconstruction of cement floors over floor heating

Mounting of new tiles subject to the specifications of the Embassy

Adaptation of LAN cables (skirting along walls)

Contractor's Obligations:

The Contractor shall:

  • Provide a professional, duly licensed technician  

  • Provide equipment and other tools necessary to undertake the work

  • Provide the necessary spare parts when needed

  • Provide a point person/phone numbers for easy access when its services are needed

  • Provide the services required beyond office hours if needed

Contract Duration and Offer

  • The Contract shall be completed within 4 months from the date of award, subject to inclement weather conditions

  • The Offer shall include a breakdown of cost

  • The Offer shall be exclusive of MWST/VAT.

Terms of Payment:

  • The invoice shall be addressed to the Philippine Embassy in Berne, Switzerland, and should indicate "Repair of four (4) Chancery Balconies and Porches and the Retiling of the groundfloor".
  • Full payment shall be made within seven (7) days from receipt of the official invoice.
