BRINGING OF FIREARMS/WEAPONS
Under current Philippine regulations, the bringing of “firearms” is prohibited on Philippine flights.
“Firearms” also include air guns, air rifles and air pistols not classified as toys under the provisions of Executive Order (EO) No. 712 dated 28 July 1981. EO 712 may be viewed from: https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/1981/07/28/executive-order-no-712-s-1981/.
In 2015, the Department of Transportation and Communication – Office of Transportation Security (DOTC – OTS) issued Memorandum Circular (MC) – 02 series of 2015 that revised the list of prohibited items. The MC may be viewed and downloaded from: https://ots.gov.ph/images/memos/mc-2015-02.pdf.
Further, please note that the “importation of a firearm by an individual” is currently not allowed by present regulations.
