PA 02 2020 ON THE IATF EID RESOLUTION NO. 5 RELATIVE TO COVID 19

 

18 FEBRUARY 2020 - The Philippine Embassy would like to inform the general public in its jurisdiction with the following measures to guide the management of the COVID-19 situation as approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) per its Resolution No. 5 dated 14 February 2020:

  • Lifting of the travel ban on Taiwan effective immediately, in view of IATF’s receipt of information pertaining to strict protocols that Taiwan has established;

  • As for the travel restrictions still in effect with regard to China and its Special Administrative Regions, the exceptions applicable to Filipino citizens and Philippine Permanent Resident Visa holders shall similarly apply to members of diplomatic corps regardless of nationality;

  • Establishment of a Technical Working Group composed of members of the task force to study and formulate recommendations on current travel restrictions for specific classes of travelers.

  • Any resolution of the IATF on travel restrictions shall be the subject of regular review.
