ON THE REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE FOR THE EXTENSION OF STAY / VISA IN SWITZERLAND
01 December 2021 – the Embassy informs Filipinos in Switzerland and Liechtenstein that the entry, stay (including extension of stay) and exit of a foreign national in Swiss or Liechtenstein soil is the exclusive and sovereign prerogative of the Swiss or Liechtenstein authorities. The Embassy cannot intervene in this regard in keeping with the principle of non-interference in the domestic policies of the Switzerland and Liechtenstein government/s.
As such, affected individuals are advised to please coordinate directly with the concerned Cantonal immigration authorities regarding the matter. Should the concerned Cantonal Immigration authorities require a document regarding your request for extended or continued stay in Switzerland or Liechtenstein due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the Philippines, please execute an Affidavit conveying your commitment to leave Switzerland or Liechtenstein and travel back to the Philippines via the next available flight. The Affidavit form may be downloaded from: https://bernepe.dfa.gov.ph/images/10._Affidavit.pdf.
Once you have accomplished and signed the Affidavit, please send it for prior evaluation to the Embassy by email at: This email address is being protected from spambots.
