01 December 2021 – the Embassy informs Filipinos in Switzerland and Liechtenstein that the rebooking of return flights to the Philippines is covered by the private contract of carriage between the passenger and his/her chosen airline.
The said re-booking concerns personal information that is covered by the Data Privacy regulations.
All persons affected by flight cancellations to the Philippines from Switzerland, resulting from its recent inclusion in the Red List, are encouraged to directly coordinate with his/her chosen airline for the rebooking of flights.
At present, there are no planned or scheduled Bayanihan, government-initiated repatriation or non-government-initiated repatriation flight to the Philippines from Switzerland. There are also no special chartered flights from the Confederation. In the event that Philippine authorities initiate a government repatriation or Bayanihan flight, an appropriate advisory in this regard will be immediately posted at the Embassy website and Facebook page.
