The Philippine Embassy informs the public that it has received information on the arrest of some Filipinos at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, India for allegedly smuggling gold into that country.

Filipinos overseas, especially those based in Middle East/ Gulf countries are therefore advised not to be lured by unscrupulous individuals into smuggling gold, precious metals and stones into india.
