The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Honours for Exceptional Bravery At Sea is awarded to individuals or groups who, at the risk to their own life, perform acts of exceptional bravery in attempting to save life at sea or in attempting to prevent or mitigate damage to the marine environment. Nominations may also involve displays of extraordinary seamanship skills in very difficult conditions or any other acts of outstanding courage at sea.

Nominations are now OPEN for exceptional acts of bravery performed at sea during the period from 01 March 2024 to 28 February 2025.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) invites the general public to nominate Filipino candidates for the IMO Honours for Exceptional Bravery At Sea through the online form at https://forms.gle/2Z7GJuHJLQubCQ4A6. Please submit this form by 04 April 2025.
