Ambassador-designate Bernard Faustino M. Dy (standing) shared the priorities of the administration of Pres. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. with the

Board of the Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) during their Annual Board Meeting on 03 April 2023 in Zürich.

 

04 April 2023 – Ambassador-designate Bernard Faustino M. Dy zeroed in on the Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTFF) and near- and medium-term 8 point socio-economic agenda of the administration, which aims to address the key challenges that the country faces such as rising inflation and the unpredictable global economy. He also said that the administration will work towards the economic transformation of the country that is anchored on productivity, inclusivity, and sustainability.

 

Ambassador-designate Dy also noted the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028, which signifies the current administration’s strong commitment to steer the Philippine economy through uncertain and challenging times, while noting that the Philippine economy has ended  2022 with the fastest growth in more than 40 years.

 

In the area of foreign policy, Ambassador-Dy recalled the statement of the President during his first State of the Nation Address (SONA), specifically “With respect to our place in the community of nations, the Philippines shall continue to be a friend to all. And an enemy to none.” He likewise noted climate change as an issue of great concern for the Philippines.
