On 18 August 2014, Philippine Ambassador to Switzerland Leslie J. Baja met with members of the Filipino community in the Canton of Valais to update them of various Embassy initiatives and services and assure them of the Embassy’s continued assistance and cooperation.

In his engagement with the community, Ambassador Baja thanked the community for their continuous hard work and dedication, especially in promoting a positive image of Filipinos in Switzerland. The community thanked the Ambassador for visiting them.

The Ambassador took the opportunity of the meeting to encourage the community to register for the overseas voting system.

During his meeting with the community, the Ambassador also discussed the Embassy’s consular services like passport renewal, petition for Filipino citizenship retention/reacquisition, and other notarials and authentication services.

Ambassador Baja gladly replied to queries about all queries on the community’s consular concerns, and assured the community of the Embassy’s readiness to assist them.
