Philippine Embassy in Berne launches iREHISTRO
The Philippine Embassy in Berne has launched the iREHISTRO for overseas voting to make it easier for Filipinos overseas to register as overseas voters for the 2016 and subsequent Philippine national elections.
With the iREHISTRO, Filipinos who are qualified to register as overseas voters can fill in the Overseas Registration Form online and bring it to the Philippine Embassy in Berne (or the Philippine Consulate General in Geneva) where they can immediately have their biometrics captured upon submission of the completed form.
To accomplish the iREHISTRO form, the applicant shall:
1. Access http://www.comelec.gov.ph/?r=AboutCOMELEC/OverseasAbsenteeVoting/OFOViRehistro ;
2. Select type of application from the list;
3. Fill in application form without affixing signature;
4. Bring the accomplished form and a valid Philippine identification document to the Philippine Embassy in Berne or Philippine Consulate in Geneva and present it to the consular staff;
5. Submit to biometrics capturing.
Registration for overseas voting is open until 31 October 2015.
