The Filipino community in Liechtenstein headed by Ms. Christine Boss and Philippine Honorary Consul Alexander Ospelt hosted the Philippine Embassy team on 09 July in celebration of Philippine Independence Day. The event was held at the Ospelt headquarters in Bendern.
In his welcome remarks, Consul Ospelt stated, “I have been an honorary consul for more than a year now, and since I assumed this post, I have endeavored to promote the Philippines’ economic potentials in our business community here. In November, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Philippines-Liechtenstein diplomatic relations,” Consul Ospelt added.

Philippine Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein Joselito A. Jimeno thanked Consul Ospelt and the Filipino community in Liechtenstein for graciously inviting the Embassy family to take part in the celebration. He encouraged the Filipino community to be united and to take part in community activities and help promote the Philippines in Liechtenstein. He also mentioned the activities that the Embassy plans to do next year in celebration of the 60th anniversary of Philippines-Switzerland diplomatic relations and invited those present to join the celebration.

The guests, which included Swiss and American spouses of Filipino nationals, were treated to an array of Filipino cuisine and delicacies, as well as food products from the Ospelt Company. END
