On 17 July 2017, the Philippine Embassy observed the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week. The theme of the celebration is “Karapatan Pribelehiyo ng Maykapansanan: Isakatuparan at Ipaglaban”.
The observance started with a flag ceremony and recitation of the Pledge of an Advocate of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Reading of the message of Secretary Judy Taguiwalo, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) then followed. The Embassy also showed the film, entitled “Inclusion” at the Consular reception area and Sentro Rizal of the Embassy during the celebration week.
