On 08 November 2018, a large delegation of Philippine officials visited the Philippine Embassy in Berne in connection with their Study Mission on Federalism organized by the Center for Governance Development of the Development Academy of the Philippines.
The delegation was composed of Vice-Governors of the Philippines, officials from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Congressional Planning and Budget Research of the House of Representatives, the League of Governors, and the Development Academy of the Philippines.

The Study Mission on Federalism aims to inform the delegation on Switzerland’s form of federalism, including how it functions at the municipal, cantonal and federal levels, the power sharing between the three administrative levels, and fiscal and police matters, among others. The Study Mission, which started on 05 November 2018 and will run until 09 November 2018, is being hosted by the Institute of Federalism of the University of Fribourg.
