The Philippine Embassy in Berne hosted a forum to commemorate International Women’s Day. The event was held on Sunday, 18 March 2019 in Berne.
Ambassador Denis Yap Lepatan opened the event where about forty (40) women participants gathered. In his remarks, Amb. Lepatan stressed the important role in the Philippine politics and society and how the Philippines has always regarded women as partners in all aspects of life and governance including even before the colonial times. He also stressed the initiatives of the Philippine Government in the global arena to address women issues and society.
